Home Alone.....
I switched on CNN and held on tightly to the TV remote control - lest Luqman will come down and start changing channel for his favourite cartoon programme.
It took a while to realize that there was no Luqman in the house this morning. He, Haziq, Amirul and LiL left for summer vacation to Kuala Lumpur last night.
I let go of the remote control, and reclined in the only chair left in the house. We have sent others for an upholstery work. There is a vacant and void feeling in the house - without the furniture and without LiL and the boys.
This morning I missed fighting for the remote control with Luqman!
I went into the PC room and logged on to check my blog and e-mails. No sooner I did that, hunger reminded me that I have not yet had my breakfast. No bread. No fruit. No cereal. Found a packet of magie mee......! Quite nice actually.....
LiL called around 11.30am reminding me to eat. I asked her how to open the can of sardine....I told her I found the can opener but did not know how to use it. Even under her instruction, I failed to open the can of sardine. Gave up!
LiL said in jest, I needed to take a survival course just in case I am let home alone again in the future.
I told her, with a prefix that it was only a joke......probably easier to find someone to accompany me at home....hehehehe. She did not laugh at my joke!
